Waukesha Epoxy Flooring is an epoxy flooring contractor based in Waukesha, WI, with more than 20 years of experience coating concrete in garages, basements, shops, kitchens and plants across Waukesha County and the Milwaukee area. We install flake, metallic, polyaspartic and solid color systems, polished concrete, and heavier commercial and industrial floors, and we repair the slabs underneath them.
What we have learned over that time is simple: a floor coating is only as good as the concrete it is bonded to and the moisture moving through it. Most of the failed floors we are asked to fix were not ruined by the wrong color or brand. They were ruined by a sealed slab nobody ground off, a damp basement nobody tested, or a cold garage coated on the wrong day.
Our Approach

We open every slab mechanically with a diamond grinder or a shot blaster, and we do not acid etch. Moisture testing is a written line item on garage and basement jobs alike, because Wisconsin does not require a vapor retarder under an unconditioned attached garage slab and a dry-looking floor is not always a dry one. We read the cracks, joints and any old coating before quoting, and if a slab needs repair or replacement before it can be coated, we say so plainly. Curing is scheduled by slab temperature and dew point rather than the calendar, which sometimes means telling a homeowner that an unheated garage has to wait for spring.
Our proposals name the product, the system build and the finished thickness, so what was quoted can be checked against what went down. Every home job gets a written contract before a deposit is taken, and warranty exclusions are read out before the job is sold, with moisture from below named first. We ask City of Waukesha Building Inspection, or the village inspector, whether a job needs a permit before it is scheduled. Grinding dust and slurry are collected on site and never washed into a floor drain or storm sewer, and we do not sell a floor coating as radon reduction or as a fix for water coming up through a slab.
What We Do
We install epoxy garage floors, flake and metallic epoxy floors, polyaspartic coatings, basement floor epoxy and polished concrete for homeowners, and commercial, industrial, ESD and commercial kitchen flooring for businesses, along with concrete grinding and concrete floor repair. Plant, kitchen and clinic floors are scheduled around the hours the building has to keep running, including overnight and weekend windows. If you have a floor in mind, request a free estimate and we will come look at the slab before we price anything.
